Pilates is an exercise program that is focused on building strength without bulk, improving posture, flexibility and agility. It involves a series of controlled movements that engage both your body and mind. Many of the exercises utilise specifically designed exercise apparatus that provide graduated resistance to movement.
Beginner level generally consists of very gentle exercises done on a mat in either a sitting or lying down position. The primary focus is on awareness of the spine, proper breathing, core strength and flexibility. The outcome of regular Pilates training is a balanced body that is strong and supple with flat stomach, balanced legs, and a strong back.

Jennifer has also achieved the highest Level 4 Pilates qualification through Dance Medicine Australia (DMA).
As Pilate’s practitioners with degrees in exercises physiology as well as physiotherapy we are ‘movement specialists’ and keep up to date with all current research in core stabilization and neuro-muscular control of movement.
We give individual attention and most classes are restricted to a maximum of five.
What to Bring to Class
If you would like to use your own mat you may bring it along.
A gym towel or small towel is desirable.
A water bottle.
Comfortable clothing that wont impede movement.
Grip socks are useful when using reformers. We do sell good quality grip socks if needed.
