Vivian completed a Bachelor of Physiotherapy at the University of Canberra in 2024, following a Master’s Degree from the University of Melbourne in 2019. She has experience across hospital rehabilitation settings, primarily focusing on post-operative rehab and neurological and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Vivian has a particular interest in musculoskeletal conditions and post-op rehabilitation, as well as, women’s hip, pelvic, and lower back pain (including antenatal and postnatal-related).

Vivian is known for her warm and approachable personality, helping patients feel comfortable and satisfied with their care. She communicates fluently in both English and Mandarin, enabling her to explain pathology and management plans to her clients effectively.

Outside of the clinic, Vivian enjoys attending gym classes such as Body Combat, Body Pump, Pilates, and jogging. She also loves travelling, playing with LEGO, and solving puzzles.

Raul completed a Bachelor of Physiotherapy at the University of Canberra in 2024. He enjoys treating a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions but has special interest in treating soccer and general lower limb injuries. Raul aims to help patients with their initial pain and function but also trying to set up long management strategies to reduce risk of future injuries or pain. Raul believes that helping a patient understand their pain/condition leads to better outcomes.

When he’s not in the clinic, you might find him in the gym, staying up late to watch the premier league, or trying to beat his below average 5k time.

Sanyukta earned her bachelor’s degree in India in 2022 and has since focused her career on addressing musculoskeletal and sports-related injuries. With a particular interest in pain management for knee, ankle, and shoulder conditions, she is dedicated to supporting endurance athletes in reaching their performance goals. Currently, Sanyukta is pursuing a Master’s in Advanced Clinical Physiotherapy (Sports) at the University of South Australia in Adelaide, further enhancing her expertise. Outside of her professional commitments, she enjoys spending her weekends painting, running, and diving into a good book.

Jess completed her Bachelor of Physiotherapy at the University of Canberra in 2021 and has been working in private practice since then. She has a strong passion for helping women and takes a patient-centred approach, empowering people to understand and take care of their bodies.

Jess has completed further training in women’s pelvic health and supports women through pregnancy, postpartum, and beyond. She works with a wide range of pelvic health concerns, pelvic pain, sexual dysfunction and incontinence. 

She also has a special interest in feet, ankles, and balance. As a registered The Foot Collective Pro, Jess integrates a barefoot and functional foot approach into her care, helping people restore natural foot function and move with confidence.

With a background in fitness (Cert III & IV through the AIPT), Jess combines exercise-based rehabilitation, hands-on treatment, and practical education to support her clients.

Outside the clinic, Jess enjoys reading with her cat Clarabel, coffee dates, snowboarding in winter, and stand-up paddle-boarding in summer.

Kuk Jin completed a Bachelor of Physiotherapy at the University of Canberra in 2018. He has a passion for treating chronic musculoskeletal conditions and helping patients live a healthy lifestyle. He has been working in the aged care industry for 2 years and in private practice for 4 years. Kuk Jin also enjoys treating children and has a Diploma in Childcare Education. Outside of the clinic, he enjoys playing tennis, board games and going bouldering.

Chelsea completed a Bachelor of Physiotherapy at the University of Canberra in 2018, after completing a Bachelor of Science (Sport Science) in 2014. She also holds a Certificate III and IV in Fitness from the Australian Institute of Personal Trainers and has a ten-year background in martial arts, specialising in taekwondo.

Chelsea has a keen interest in the role of strength training in treating musculoskeletal conditions and is one of our Clinical Pilates instructors. Outside of the clinic, Chelsea enjoys attempting to grow indoor plants and spending time on the beaches of Jervis Bay with her husband and dog Pringle.

Grant Sutherland is the principal physiotherapist and a partnered owner of Hawker Place Physiotherapy & Pilates. Grant has been in the Health and Fitness industry for over 25 years, working across the Strength and Conditioning, Exercise Science, Pilates and Physiotherapy industries. Before moving to the Canberra region he was the Director of Health and Fitness for Solar Springs Health Retreat in Bundanoon, a position he held for 12 years.

In 2018, Grant took over Hawker Place Physiotherapy and Pilates, cementing his commitment and passion to assisting others achieve their physical goals. Grant enjoys the opportunity to create a safe environment where his staff and their patients can collaborate to identify whatever physical ailment they are experiencing and unlock a pathway to recovery. 

Having previously competed Nationally in Strongman events and being heavily involved in the lifting and fitness community for the past 25 years, Grant is passionate about the benefits both physically and emotionally that strength and conditioning can provide. As such he is always willing to share his experience and knowledge with all lifters from the beginner to the seasoned veteran lifter to help them to continue their journey in strength.

When Grant is not at the clinic, he enjoys planting thousands of trees on his property in Bywong, tending his heritage cider apple orchard, creating magical stories with his son and doting over his beloved daughter.

Ali completed his Bachelor of Physiotherapy degree from the University of Canberra in 2022. He has a keen interest in treating sporting injuries and returning athletes back to their sports as quickly and as safely as possible. Ali loves working with clients to achieve their goals whether it’s getting stronger or decreasing pain levels. He also speaks and communicates fluently in both English and Arabic which can help provide his clients with a more comprehensive understanding of their injuries and their management plan. 

Outside of work, you will find Ali playing soccer, going to the gym or watching movies (big horror fan!)

David has an interest in treating a variety of musculoskeletal conditions and helps his patients meet their goals using a combination of manual therapy and exercise-based treatment. He has an interest in climbing and bouldering related injuries, as well as assisting patients with rehabilitation post surgery to maximise function. David aims to motivate patients beyond initial rehabilitation for future injury prevention and self-management. Outside work, you will find him climbing, bouldering, trail running or spending time with his partner and dog, Bo.
